My Heart

We have been learning about haiku poems. Haiku poems are when you can draw a picture but you write it in words. It has 5 syllables, 7 syllables and then 5. This is one of my haiku poems.



My Heart

My heart is the best
It keeps me alive forever
I love my heart. yes!

Bells

In class have been learning about different poems. One of the poems I have wrote is a free verse poem. This is one of my free verse poem.


Bells

Blue, brown beautiful bells
found themselves hanging on a christmas tree.
They ring all day,
Ring a ding ding!
Bells ring at churches,
Ding, dong, ding, dong!
They also ring when SANTA is here!
Santa gives me presents,
I give him beer!
Someone knocks on my door.
I'm sitting on the floor.
Ding, dong,ring a ding,ding!
Thats my bell!
Ring a ding ding.

I have been learning about 5 W poems. 5 W poems are when you have to put who, what, when, where and why. This is one of my 5 W poems.


Beaches

The beautiful, bright, sparkling water
Found itself washing up onto the yellow, wet sand.
The season of hot summer.
When the water shines like a diamond
reflecting the sun rise
and when the sun goes to bed.

Friends in Term 4

I have been learning about friends. To be a good friend you have to be kind, friendly, responsible, keep secrets, do not lie, be loyal and help them if they need help. It is very easy to make a friend if you use these things. Most importantly is, never let them down.

Myths and Legends

For the last 5 weeks I have been learning about myths and legends. I made a booklet on different activities and on different stories. My favourite story was Bedd Gelert. It was about one man who went off hunting and asked his dog Bedd Gelert to look after his beloved baby son. So the dog did. Then a big mean wolf came along and tried to go near the baby so Bedd Gelert tried to fight him off but he bit Bedd Gelert's leg and the wolf went away. There were 15 activities to choose from when we had completed our reading. I did activity 8. For activity 8 I had to change the ending.

Bullying

I think bullying is not being nice and not including people in things. When people bully you say stop it, I don't like it or walk away. If they don't stop it, tell the teacher. I think people bully others because they don't get what they want. I do not like bullying because it hurts my feelings. I have not been bullied by my class mates.
This week I have also been working on a project on a scientist Leanardo Da Vinci. He is one of the greatest artist the world has ever known.
